Although she started writing early in grade school, she did not get serious until 1990. Her poetry, articles and stories were always filled with an inspirational quality, still found in her writing. After graduating from The Institute of Children's Literature in 1997, Annetta pursued a life long dream of becoming a published writer. Her first work, A Bitter Rose, was published in 2000.
Annetta P. Lee grew up on the farm of her maternal grandparents in Starkville, Mississippi. She now lives in Oklahoma with her husband, Kenneth. Annetta has worked as an Administrative Assistant for over thirty years and is currently at the Emergency Department in a local hospital .

At this stage of her life, she says it is very gratifying to channel the passion ignited by her faith. It has given her direction to, not only, write about the practical distresses of living life, but a way to touch others in the midst of it.
